An evening that celebrates the genius and spirit of Darius Milhaud, Milhaud’s muses and those who saw Milhaud as their muse!
The centerpiece of the program is Milhaud’s “The Household Muse”
Also including works of Auric, Satie, Poulenc, Schickele, Bacharach and Brubeck, each offering their own version of household muses…

Composers Collaborative presents “Serious Immobilities”
This 24 hour set of 840 variations for piano by Arthur Jarvinen based on Satie’s Vexations co-existing with Randy Woolf’s Spineless Dog for improvised electronics and loop ambiances add up to a truly cerebral experience.  Organized by Jed Distler, yours truly will be playing from 7-8AM on June 21 – the 24th hour, which culminates with a reading of Jarvinen’s philosophical musings of what it’s all been about…. more on this as described by The New Yorker.
